Full name is Ross Dan Hutchins… Father, Paul, is a former British Davis Cup player and Davis Cup captain (1975-1987) and mother, Shali… Has one brother, Blake, and two sisters, Romy and Lauren, all three play tennis… Attended King’s College School in Wimbledon, leaving with seven GCSEs in 2001 to pursue tennis career and French and Spanish courses… Played a lot on indoor carpet courts at All England Club after finishing homework… Also played cricket, rugby, basketball, swimming and football… Has a golf handicap of 12… Favourite movies are Gladiator and Remember The Titans… Supports Fulham Football Club… Growing up, worked with former British pros Roger Taylor, Miles Maclagan, Colin Beecher, Andrew Richardson and Rhys Hanger…. Won 2001 doubles title at British National Championships with James Smith… Played junior Wimbledon in 2002 and 2003… Turned pro in 2002... Made Davis Cup debut for Great Britain against Argentina in February 2008, has played four ties overall (0-4 record)... Currently trains at the LTA National Tennis Centre at Roehampton and Miami, Florida.

2005 – Made Grand Slam debut with Martin Lee at Wimbledon (l. to Bachelot-Clement)… Won one Futures doubles title at Bolton (w/J. Murray) and runner-up at four events… Reached one singles final at Rock Forest, Quebec (l. to Benjamin Becker)… year-end No. 678 in singles and No. 272 in doubles rankings.

2006 – With Joshua Goodall, reached Wimbledon second round (l. Santoro-Zimonjic)… Picked up two Futures doubles title from four finals… Captured three Challenger titles at Manchester (w/Goodall), Graz (w/Marray) and Eckental (w/Goodall), finished runner-up at one other event… decided to concentrate on doubles career in August… year-end No. 153 doubles ranking.

2007 – Broke into Top 100 doubles on 25 June, having reached London/Queen’s Club (w/Delgado) second round (l. to Bryans), his maiden ATP final at Nottingham and Wimbledon first round (both w/Goodall)… Also reached one Beijing semi-finals (w/Butorac) and two quarter-finals at Newport (w/Butorac) and Mumbai (w/Auckland)… Won one Challenger title at Istanbul (w/Auckland) from two finals… Won one Futures (w/Childs) from two finals… year-end No. 92 doubles ranking. 

2008 – Breakthrough season with regular partner Stephen Huss, won one ATP doubles title at Beijing (d. Fisher-Reynolds) and two finals at Moscow (l. to Stakhovsky-Starace) and Lyon (l. to Llodra-Ram)… Broke into Top 100 doubles on 27 October… At Grand Slams, reached Roland Garros third round, Wimbledon second round (both w/Huss) and US Open second round (w/A. Murray)… Was also a quarter-finalist at Vina del Mar (w/Brzezicki), Delray Beach, San Jose (w/Hanescu), Zagreb (w/de Voest)… Won one Challenger title at Segovia (w/Thomas)… finished year-end No. 44 in doubles.

2009 – Qualified for first ATP singles tournament at Johannesburg (l. to Vliegen in 1st Rd.)… In doubles with Huss, reached three semi-finals (ATP World Tour Masters 1000 Madrid, Belgrade and Washington) and two quarter-finals (San Jose, Marseille)… Also advanced to ATP World Tour Masters 1000 quarter-finals Indian Wells (w/A. Murray) and Miami (w/Kerr)... Reached career-high No. 30 (27 July)... Advanced to QFs at Metz (w/Kerr) and Bangkok (w/Tecau)... Finished runner-up at Tokyo (w/Kerr) in October...
