2011 -- The young German made a breakthrough, jumping almost 300 ranking positions from previous season…Began year by winning back-to-back Futures titles in Turkey in February, then compiled a 34-13 match record on Challenger level with a 3 titles...In limited ATP World Tour play, went 4-4, qualified for 1st time in Halle (l. to eventual champ Kohlschreiber)...and also went through qualifying to make Grand Slam debut at Wimbledon (l. to Dimitrov)…In July, reached 1st QF in Stuttgart (l. to Andujar) and followed with 3R in Hamburg (l. to Verdasco)...Compiled his best Challenger results in Asia, reaching final in Kyoto (l. to Meffert) and back-to-back SF in Guangzhou and Pingguo in March…In September, captured back-to-back titles in Bangkok (d. Weintraub) and Shanghai (d. Kudryavtsev) and SF in Ningbo…Broke Top 100 on Oct. 31...Qualified for ATP Challenger Tour Finals in Sao Paulo and captured the title (d.
