Sebastien Lareau

Teamed with countryman Sebastien LeBlanc in 1990 to win the French Open and Wimbledon Junior doubles titles, becoming the first Canadians to win a Grand Slam title... Finished that year as the No. 2 team in the world... Has a career 26-15 record in Davis Cup play (16-13 in singles) in 17 ties... Played in Atlanta Olympics and lost in the first round... then four years later, tasted Olympic gold with Daniel Nestor, defeating Todd Woodbridge and Mark Woodforde in the pair's final match together... Coached by Yann Lefebrve (since February 1998).

2000 -- The No. 1 Canadian enjoyed a good year on both singles and doubles circuits, winning three titles in doubles including gold medal at Sydney Olympics…In singles, highlight of year came in March as he won the Magdeburg Challenger without dropping a set…Defeated Boutter (SF) and Voltchkov in final…Also reached 2nd RD at Wimbledon for 3rd consecutive year (l. to Arazi) and 3rd RD at TMS Toronto (l. to Rafter)…In doubles, reached QF or better in 12 out of 15 tournaments…After 0-3 start, breakthrough came with title win in Memphis (w/Gimelstob)…Followed with final runs in Copenhagen (w/Bjorkman) and Orlando (w/Gimelstob), SF at Queen's (w/Nestor) and QF at Ericsson Open Miami (w/Gimelstob), Roland Garros and Wimbledon (both w/Nestor)…won 2nd title of year at TMS Toronto (w/Nestor)…Reached QF or better in next three events until crowning moment at Sydney, where he and Nestor denied Woodbridge-Woodforde gold medal in front of home fans…Finished year with 39-14 doubles record.

1999 -- Won ATP-high seven doubles titles, including first Grand Slam at US Open and World Doubles Championship (both w/O'Brien)…Earned a career-high $670,399…Finished a career-best No. 4 in doubles and No. 2 in team rankings (w/O'Brien).

1998 -- Reached first Tour SF in Philadelphia, later adding a second at Hong Kong…Won doubles titles in Tokyo (w/Nestor) and Stuttgart-Indoor (w/O'Brien).

1997 -- Won doubles titles in Philadelphia and Los Angeles and reached final at Australian Open (all w/O'Brien).

1996 -- In doubles, won Stuttgart-indoor and reached final of ATP Tour World Doubles Chp. along with Australian Open (all w/O'Brien)...Finished No. 4 in Team Rankings.

1995 -- In doubles, won first ATP Tour title in Seoul (w/Tarango) and title in Beijing (w/Ho).

1994 -- Ended year with win over Stich (first Top 10 victory) in Antwerp...Reached Tour doubles finals at Tokyo-outdoor (w/P. McEnroe), Seoul (w/Kinnear) and Antwerp (w/Davids).

1993 -- Reached SF at U.S. Open (w/Paes).

1992 -- Won first career Challenger title in Halifax...Won first doubles title (w/Nestor) at Recife Challenger.

1991 -- In doubles, advanced to QF of Canadian Open (w/LeBlanc).
